Sorry we couldn't make the funeral. Wilma and myself were on vacation. Your mother was a very kind person and when I saw her, she was great company. May she rest in peace.

To Hob and all of your family. I extend my deepest sympathy to you all. What a strong lady to keep her family together during a very trying time. I truly admire her for her service to our country. I know how Sara loved her bridge games and was determined to join in until the very end. And to think of her playing skills shining through her last time to compete. I also know she loved going to concerts and out to dinner with good friends. What a family she had and was so proud of all of them. May your faith help you during this difficult time.

It breaks my heart to not be there this day to celebrate Sara's rich life.
I met Sara in 1972 when we worked as nurses at the Masonic Homes. Little did we know that my son, Ryan, & Sara's granddaughter, Tara, who were not yet born, would marry in 2012.
Since that long ago first meeting we have spent many hours together playing bridge & enjoying our friendship. Often we would be so involved in conversation, that we missed a turnoff to wherever we were driving!
I especially want to commend Jane & Cathy for your excellent care these last couple weeks, enabling Sara to remain in her apartment where she was most comfortable.
I will miss Sara's bright smile & always positive attitude. She was a special lady & irreplaceable, dear friend. Love, Nancy Reed
