Stanley M. Ober

Stanley M. Ober, 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Masonic Village.  Born Monday, July 17, 1933 in Mount Joy Township, he was the son of the late Paris P. “Pat” and Kathryn R. Ober.  He was married to Arlene H. (Hilsher) Ober on June 5, 1955.

Stan worked at M&M/Mars for over 40 years before retiring in 1996.  He was also a charter member of Grace Brethren Church, Elizabethtown.

In addition to his wife of over 64 years, he is survived by three children: Daniel E. Ober, married to Wendy, of Elizabethtown; Darryl L. Ober, married to Dawn, of Elizabethtown and Debra A. Burkhart, married to Lee, of Mount Joy.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a sister, Mary Ellen, married to Allen Haak, of Palmyra.  He was preceded in death by four siblings: Rachel Ober, Lois Hays and James and Paul Ober.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Grace Brethren Church, 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, with Pastor Timothy Placeway officiating.  Burial will follow in Chiques Hill Cemetery, Manheim.  There will be a viewing held at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
