Vivian (Siacco) Swope, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Tuesday, November 1, 1927 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Martha (Light) Siacco. She was married almost 60 years to Jay J. Swope who passed away in September 2008.
Vivian was a member of Newville Bible Church. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. In later years she worked at Hershey Medical Center as a transportation aide. Vivian enjoyed playing the piano and walking around on the farm.
She is survived by four children: Jay A. Swope and wife Donna; Sandra Reed and husband Thomas; Carmany Swope and wife Robin and Judith Hippensteel and husband John, all of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a half sister Gloria Tice of Laureldale.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Newville Bible Church, 819 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Goods Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
