Arthur Kling, Jr., 88, of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was born Friday, August 19, 1932, to the late Arthur and Florence M. (Peters) Kling. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie (Posey) Kling.
Art was a proud Army Veteran who served in Korea as a Sergeant. He graduated from Lititz High School and continued his education at Franklin and Marshall College with a major in finance and a minor in accounting. Art was a Mastor Mason and a Scottish Rite Mason of the 32 Degree and a Zembo Shriner. He was a lifetime member of the Palmyra First United Methodist Church where he also sang in the choir. He also served on the board of supervisors of North Londonderry Township for 12 years. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at his Florida home, golfing, and spending time with his dog, Teddy. Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.
He is survived by his children: Robert Kling and wife Laurie, Kimberley Kling, and Sandra Neidlinger and husband Rick; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Kinney, Daniel Kling, and Rachel Behney. He is predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Gassert.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 1PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 following a masonic service. A visitation will take place from noon until the start of the service. A graveside service will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors.
