Billy L. Orner Sr.

Billy L. Orner Sr., of Middletown, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022 at the age of 78. Born October 13, 1943 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William & Florence (Willier) Orner.

He spent his working career as a steel worker with Bethlehem Steel. In Billy’s free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, baking pies and spending time with his grandchildren. His children will always remember their trout fishing trips.

He is survived by his children: Kimberly Books, Michelle Johnson and Terry Lee Orner; grandchildren: Kelly, Kyle Books, Elizabeth Kennedy, Sierra Putt, Jessica Johnson, Jeniell Johnson and Brittany Orner; great grandchildren: Rochelle Campbell, Zander Kennedy and Luna Kuhn; siblings: Jerry Keys, Dianne Hollis, and Dawn Swails-Behrens. Billy is preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra (Scheetz) Orner; children Billy Orner Jr. and Tina Adams.

We welcome you to celebrate Billy’s amazing life on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, Middletown, PA 17057. A viewing with family begins at
9:00 AM until the funeral service which begins at 10:00 AM. Billy will be buried alongside of his wife. Burial is private per family request.
