Brenda J. (Witmeyer) Painter

Brenda J. Painter, 78, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  She was born on Friday, January 15, 1943 to the late John D. and Pauline (Christman) Witmeyer. She is predeceased by her loving husband John E. Painter, Sr., since January 1, 2010.

Brenda is together again with her husband, John.  She loved listening to Johnny Cash and could not get enough of him. In her spare time she enjoyed building puzzles and going for walks, as well as attending different carnivals. Her favorite thing to do was attend family gatherings and being surrounded by her loved ones.  Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her children: Billie J. Crawford and husband Glen, Kenneth L. Witmeyer and wife Lori, Gary E. Painter and wife Christina, Tracy A. Presley and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Ashley Painter, Christi George, Tiffany Painter, Johnny Painter, Jessica Rohland, Eric Rohland, Anthony Painter, Gary Painter, Jr., and Bryce Painter; 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dave Witmeyer, John Witmeyer, Jr., and Ellen Lutz. She is predeceased by 3 siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until the start of the service.  Burial will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
