Doris Laray (Shadle) Koppenhaver

Doris Laray Koppenhaver, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 95.  Born in Sacramento, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Mabel (Stahl) Shadle. She was the loving wife of 58 years to Dean Koppenhaver.

After graduating from Grand-Heggins Township High School she started a career as a sewing machine operator at Donegal Industries. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and baking. Doris will forever be remembered as a hardworking survivor who never gave up. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly.

Doris is survived by her children: Joan Leedom (Alan) and Renee Kissinger (Melvin); grandchildren: Scot A. Leedom (Stacey) and Nicole Leedom (Joshua Geesaman); one great grandchild: Madison Brown.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10:00 AM, March 14, 2023 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 E High St,Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Followed by a memorial service.

Doris will be buried with her husband Dean at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on March 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
