Gerald F. Maenner

Gerald F. Maenner, 61, of Hershey, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was born Wednesday, January 3, 1962 to Regina (O’Neill) Maenner and the late Gerald M. Maenner. He is survived by his loving wife, Debre (Dana) Maenner.

Jerry was an avid Eagles fan; in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and playing board games. He loved his dogs, fish, and going on Disney Cruises or traveling with his family. Jerry had a passion for Star Wars and also enjoyed sports including hockey and curling. More than anything, he was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and an amazing Pop Pop to his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Matthew Maenner and wife Gabriella, and Jeffrey Maenner and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Silas, Charlotte, and Chandler Maenner; siblings, Joseph Maenner, James Maenner and wife Michele; sister-in-law, Deidre Dana; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Dana.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 1PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the start of the service.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at a later date in the Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery, Valley Forge National Park, PA.
