Obituary
Gwen L. Risser, 78, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at home with family by her side. She was born Thursday, June 29, 1944 to the late John and Grace (Firestone) Kornikow.
Gwen was a loving a caring woman who would light up any room. Everyone loved to be around her, and always enjoyed the company of others and family. She always put others first. Gwen had a strong faith and great relationship with Jesus. In her spare time she enjoyed bargain hunting, being at the Saturday market, cooking, or baking. More than anything she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her son: Todd Risser, grandchildren; Brianna Carey and Aaron Risser; and siblings; Joan Chastain, Judy Borum, and Dan Kornikow. She is predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Rockey and a brother, John Kornikow.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10 AM, at the Middletown Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory Deep Rivers Church, 200 S. Hanover St, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
