Holly L. (Miller) Whary

Holly L. (Miller) Whary, 38, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.  Born Saturday, December 17, 1983, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Christian S. and Tammy J. (McConnell) Miller.  She was married to Ricky L. Whary Jr. on July 30, 2010.

In addition to her husband of over 11 years, she is survived by two children: Gavin S. Whary and Mia M. Whary, all of Marietta.  Also surviving are her parents, of Maytown; a sister, Jessica Roschel and her companion, Andrew Metz, of Marietta; her grandmother, Thelma Miller, of Maytown; her grandfather, Christian Miller, of Deal Island, MD; six nieces and nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and caring friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacob and Nancy McConnell.

Holly was a homemaker for many years, caring for her children.  Along with baking with her two children, she loved spending time with her family.  She also had a soft spot for all types of animals with birds being her passion.  She was a bird breeder for over 20 years which gave her the opportunity to experience hand feeding the birds and meeting people from all over the world.

Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA  17547, 717-426-3614.
