James “Larry” Dye, 76, of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Hershey Medical Center. He was born September 16, 1947, in Washington, DC to the late Howard and Hazel (Sizemore) Dye.
In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed doing Civil War reenactments which he had done since the early 70’s. He was an avid coin collector and a Master Mason. He also enjoyed spending time and talking with and about his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, James Dye Jr. (Krista) and Justin Dye (Melissa); two daughters, Jennifer Dye and Megan Daubert (Jason); grandchildren, Katrina , Kayla, Kassidy, James III, Karissa, Jackson, Xavier, Rosalie, Alexus, Nadia, Devyn, Oliver, Kinsley and Daxton; two sisters, Cheryl and Suzy, and a brother, Jimmy Dye. As well as two faithful animal companions, Tucker and Izzy.
Family and friends are invited for viewing on Friday, March 8th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
