Lisa M. (Pavlovcic) Dodds

Lisa M. (Pavlovcic) Dodds, 55, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.  Born Thursday, September 10, 1964, in Lorain, Ohio, she was the daughter of Judy (Doherty) Polk and the late Carl Pavlovcic and her step-father, the late Michael Bayliss.  She was married to W. Edward Dodds on October 3, 2002.

Lisa was most passionate about being Maw Maw to her wonderful grandchildren. She loved spending time with her brother, Tom and Sisters, Shelly and Dee-Dee, as well as extended family at their place near the Chesapeake Bay. As always, she was feeding people and frequently spending time over a campfire. Lisa worked for a number of years as a Chef Manager at Hersheypark. She enjoyed her work and cooking for others. Many of her coworkers have reached out and said, “It will never be the same without her”.

In addition to her husband of nearly 18 years, she is survived by her mother, Judy Polk, of Vermilion, OH as well as four children: Corey Pavlovcic, companion of Katie Hoover, of Hummelstown, Tanner Dodds, of Lancaster, Cera Dodds, engaged to Drew Good, of York and Mason Dodds, of Marietta. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Zayden, Zyler, Lawton, Leia, Lylah and Palmer; her brother, Tom and his wife, Debbie, her sister, Shelly (Bert) and her husband, Scott, and her sister Dee-Dee (Bert) and her husband Dave, as well as Lisa’s extended family and caring friends.

“When I think of Lisa, I think of a beautiful soul who shined her light on all who met her. She was an amazing person! Family was everything to her. Part of our lives will be forever changed. May your light shine upon all our lives. We will miss you.” A woman can be caring, tough, loving, strong and successful in this world. She was proof.

“Me, I'll take her laughter and her tears and make them all my souvenirs.”
