Mildred L. (Hibshman) Spangler

Mildred L. (Hibshman) Spangler, 99, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at the Bethany Village on Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was born Thursday, May 15, 1924 to the late John and Martha (Patches) Hibshman. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Floyd H. Spangler.

Mildred had an amazing sense of humor. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, especially about the Amish life, spending time with her daughter’s three cats, and growing African violets. Being the oldest of her siblings, she was surprised she outlived them. She was a woman of strong faith and was looking forward to meeting Jesus in Heaven. She was a longtime member of the Gravel Hill Church. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter: Jane DelSordo; grandson, Michael Mater and wife Audra; and great grandson, Luke Mater. She is predeceased by a son-in-law; James DelSordo, and siblings; John, Harold, Paul, and Catherine.

A private graveside will take place at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.
