Robert William Wheeler

Robert William Wheeler, 96, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.  He was born September 14, 1927, in Rochester, NY to the late Albert and Marjorie (Kerr) Wheeler. He was predeceased on October 22, 2022, by his loving wife, Evelyn (Goschler) Wheeler.

Robert graduated from Prospect Park High School in 1945. He Served in the Army in 1946 and 1947. He graduated from Millerville as an Industrial Arts Teacher and as an Engineer from and PMC College in Chester PA.   Robert retired as Engineering Manager for Scott Paper Company after many years designing paper machinery for them.  In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, building model railroads. You could also find him cutting stones as an accomplished lapidary

He is survived by a son, Thomas Wheeler and wife Debra; grandchildren, William Wheeler, Daniel Wheeler, Julie Cotroneo, Teresa Wheeler and Carol Wheeler; 13 great grandchildren and four nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandy Wheeler.

Family and friends are invited for a memorial service on Saturday, May 4th 11 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church, 730 S New Street, West Chester, PA 19382. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Glenn Mills. A luncheon will follow burial service.
