Ronald K. Layton

Ronald K. Layton, 81, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at home. Born Monday, August 21, 1939 in Brandonville, PA, he was the son of the late James and Anna Orlene (Lindemuth) Layton. He was married 48 years to Dalene M. (Hardin) Layton.

A greenskeeper, Ronald was employed by Hershey Country Club, and retired from Dauphin Highlands. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, going to garage sales, basketball and reading, especially westerns.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Pamela Retherford (John) of Lewistown; Jeffrey Layton (Jodi) of Lewistown; Klint Layton (Andrea) of Linglestown; Lori Layton (Sara) of Elizabethtown and Joshua Layton (Dawn) of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Service and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ronald’s memory may be made to P.W. Milano Marine Corps League Detachment  #299, New Cumberland, Pa 17070 or to Compassus Hospice, 2578 Interstate Dr., Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
