Jeannette Palen (Raulerson) Shearer

Jeannette Palen Raulerson Shearer, 90, of Elizabethtown, PA, entered into her eternal rest May 12, 2015. She was the loving wife of Clair D Shearer celebrating 58 years of marriage.  Born in Sayre, PA Jeannette was the daughter of the late Alvin L Raulerson and Charlotte Palen Page.  She was a graduate RN/CRNA of The Robert Packard Hospital and The University of Alabama School of Anesthesia.  She also studied at William and Mary College and The Margaret Hague.  Jeannette resided in Thomasville, GA; Washington DC; Fredericksburg, VA; Frederick, MD; Shillington, West Lawn and Elizabethtown, PA.

Jeannette was a faithful Episcopalian, but attended Sell Chapel while at the Masonic Village.

She is survived by her husband, Clair; daughter, Meg (Marc) Poussard of Poway, CA; two grandchildren, Marina and Nadya Poussard; sister, Maryann (Dr Roger Smith) of Florida; and preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Thomas Raulerson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Jeannette’s life.  Family will receive friends at 9am with a Memorial Service at 9:30am on Saturday May 23 at Sell Chapel Masonic Village Elizabethtown, PA.  Follow Freemason Dr; 2nd right; then on Left.  Interment is to be determined.  If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to: Friends of the Nurse’s Health Study, 181 Longwood Ave, Boston/MA 02215.  Jeannette participated in many decade-long medical studies involving RNs. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory 130 N. Market St. Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
