Leroy A. Hess

Leroy Auker Hess, 84, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at Moravian Manor, Lititz, on Friday, July 3, 2015 with his loving wife at his side.  He was born Wednesday, February 25, 1931 in Mount Joy Township to the late Ezra E. and Martha A. (Auker) Hess.  He was first married to Orpha J. (Myers) Hess for 46 years.  Orpha died on August 17, 2001.  On February 14, 2004 he married Peggy L. (Waltz) Hess.

In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly missed by two sons: Kurt D. Hess (Lisa) of Duncannon; Keith R. Hess, of Duncannon; four stepchildren; four granddaughters; six step-grandchildren as well as Leroy’s extended family and caring friends.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Wilbur, Robert and Ira Hess.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Grace Brethren Church, 305 Anchor Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Pastor Tim Placeway officiating.  Burial will follow in Goods Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM and also at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
