Marie Clausen (Sipling) Deitrich

Marie C. (Sipling) Deitrich, 98, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster.  She was born January 7, 1917 in Conoy Township to the late Raymond M. and Estella (Clausen) Sipling.  She was married to Raymond F. Deitrich for over 59 years.  Mr. Deitrich died on November 13, 2001.

A homemaker for most of her life, Marie also worked at Kuntzelman’s Creamery in Elizabethtown for over 15 years and was a longtime member of the Elizabethtown First Church of God.  Marie enjoyed sewing, quilting and completing puzzles.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She will be lovingly missed by a son, Dennis R. Deitrich and wife Barbara, of Middletown; a daughter, Joanne M. Miller and husband John of Lititz; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Verna Brosey, of Bainbridge as well as Marie’s extended family and caring friends.  She was predeceased by a grandson, a great grandson, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Elizabethtown First Church of God, 144 South Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with The Reverend Mark H. Yarger officiating.  Burial will follow in Cross Roads Cemetery, Mount Joy.  Closed casket visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Monday.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
