Marie N. (Comp) Kunkle Stone

Marie N. (Comp) Kunkle Stone, 88, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home in Mount Joy following a lengthy illness.  She was born on May 31, 1928 in Perry County, to the late Floyd Comp and Zella (Koon) Sapp.  She was first married to Clyde H. Kunkle for 47 years.  After Clyde’s death in 1992, she married Bruce H. Stone for 18 years until his passing in 2012.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Mount Joy.

She will be lovingly missed by six children: Sharon Kunkle, of Minnesota; Doris Drace and husband, Harvey, of Manheim; Judy Graham and husband, Don, of Mountville; Darlene Zink and husband, John, of Elizabethtown; Clyde Kunkle, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Ohio and Sherry Valle and husband, Mike, of Mount Joy as well as 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Albright LIFE Lancaster and all the caregivers for all of their compassion and care given to Marie for the past three years.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.  Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.  There will be a viewing held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s honor to Albright LIFE, 417 West Frederick Street, Lancaster, PA  17603.
