Minerva Jane (Hess) Boll

Minerva H. Boll, 91, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at her home in Honeoye Falls, NY on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. She was born April 18,1924 in Lancaster to the late John G. and Lottie (Diffenbaugh) Hess. She was married to Edwin Boll for over 65 years. Edwin died on July 16, 2014.

Mrs.Boll was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a full-time homemaker, gifted seamstress, and talented cook.  All who knew her were touched by her kind, gentle spirit. Mrs. Boll was an active, long term member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown.

She will be lovingly missed by her children: Dennis (Carmen) Boll of Greer, SC; Charles (Julie) Boll of Clam Gulch, AK; Deborah (David) Hinton of Lima, NY; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Shoemaker and Etta Irwin, as well as Minerva’s extended family and caring friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown on Thursday, July 9, 2015 with viewing at 11 AM, preceding the service at 12 noon. A light lunch will be served at the church afterwards. Committal service will be at Grandview Memorial Park, Annville at 3 PM.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Minerva’s memory to the building fund of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse Hospice at 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY, 14580. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.millerfuneralhome.com.
