What a loss, a friend and employer. I spent many a winter day at the Motel Capri and the apartments making repairs while the motel was closed, we had to get everything ready for the Good Friday opening. One time I got a desperation call from Dick that the penthouse above the motel froze up and I had to drop everything and make my way to OC for the repairs right away, Dick always remembered that rush job. Joyce and Dick were in Fla. when I was there most of the time, giving me the keys to their house across the street with a full refrigerator, so I had a place to stay. There was never money involved for my work just free stay anytime I wanted it during the summer, what a great deal. Dick and Joyce introduced me to a lot of their OC friends, what a great bunch of friends. I remember getting Christmas trees from Lynn's parking lot at Park Place and taking them home for the kids in E-Town. I lost contact after Joyce passed. then a phone call, "Stop on down to Tuna Lane for a weekend of fishing and Golf. We were not very good at fishing or golf, but we had fun. What great folks! a pleasure to have known them. They are both..always in my prayers!
